On the way up to eagle falls I spotted movement, at first I couldn't tell what it was, something like a worm slithering down the rock face, but when I came close I realized it was water moving under ice, which if you have never seen, is a really cool effect.
A small ravine setup an opportunity to capture some cool geometry provided by clouds, trees and a small ridge.
The grandeur of Eagle Lake could only be captured by getting higher, so I climbed an uncommon way which was a rock scramble all the way up, but as you can see well worth the extra effort.
Lower in the valley Eagle Lake provides water to multiple falls and cool wetland like environments, seasonal trees offer contrast to evergreens and bush branches provide another color depth.
As always, Lake Tahoe gives us one of the most impressive sunsets in the west as clouds get trapped by the Sierras and are lit up by the sun. Seen from Eagle Falls.
Water in motion, one of the falls heading back to tahoe on the way down the trail.
